We target rural communities and most especially vulnerable groups including women, orphans, school drop outs, people with disabilities (PWDs) and the elderly.
CITA also aims to reach out to wider audiences – public, policy makers, media, and other non-governmental organizations, development partners – through a variety of forums and means.
The organizations main program implementation organ is its secretariat headed by the Executive Director and supported by specialists in different thematic areas including institutional development.

We help poor people break the cycle of poverty through education, providing agricultural advisory services in remote areas to help poor people use less chemicals.
Since this Day was created in 2004, its purpose has been to highlight and support peoples’ struggles to defend territories threatened by the expansion of industrial tree plantations.

The goal of CITA is to contribute towards improving the living standard of the vulnerable rural communities of Uganda through community mobilization, capacity building, advocacy and strengthening of institutions at the grass root level.
